This exercise explores the colour palette that characterises my blog. My intended major is industrial design, thus I wanted to keep my palette down to very industrial and artificial look. The background of my blog is a monochromatic cityscape and to give the blog a cohesive I tried to keep away from warm, natural harmonious colours. I'm showing three examples of my work in the Colour exploration and all of them are characterised by industrial man made colours.
This is a piece of photography that I did back home that was originally in full colour, but inn order to match the theme and ideas of my blog I decided to make the background black and white. Not only does this unify the composition of my background but it also helps to bring out the vibrant red of the paint of the car.
This album cover from the song "All my Friends" from Snakehips served as a reference and inspiration for a vodka bottle I designed for my musical geometry project. I stuck with the Colour-scheme that the album cover already had because it aligned with my theme of man made unnatural colour with its blue pink and orange neon colours.
The final piece for this colour study is this long exposure light painting that I did for a final project for my high school art class. Despite not being retouched in any way, the colours of the piece match the style of my blog as they seem artificial and man made. I actually used a slightly more yellow light source to achieve this look when I initially created the piece, and i think it ties into my blog's theme successfully.
